Valentino van 't Klavertje Vier is a son of Taran de la Pomme (1.60m with Kevin Staut) and carries bloodlines of Denzel van 't Meulenhof, Darco and Nabab de Rêve, among others. This Nabab mare is none other than Candy, who won the prestigious Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows with Pieter Devos. This exceptional family has produced numerous top horses that have jumped and won at the highest level, such as Handy van HD (1.60m), Important de Muze (1.65m), Millar (1.60m), Dixson (1.60m, Ian Millar), Faraday (1.60m) and Hanna van HD. In addition, this family has three descendants who have won the Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows: Big Ben and Dixson (both with Ian Millar) and Candy (with Pieter Devos).
Valentino himself stands out because of his beautiful balance and reliable character. He is not at all spooky, has a light and expressive trot, and a spacious, comfortable canter. He is easy to ride and gives his rider a lot of confidence. Valentino van 't Klavertje Vier is a horse with a lot of quality and a nice attitude - a pleasure to work with and a promise for the future!
