This seven-year-old daughter of World Champion Vigo d’Arsouilles represents exactly what a modern sport horse should be. Her dam, Noyelle van de Begijnakker, successfully competed up to 1.55m with Andres Vereecke, and the wider family includes several outstanding performers such as Challenge van de Begijnakker (1.60m – Ludo Philippaerts), Castress van de Begijnakker (1.60m – Petronella Andersson) and Goja van de Begijnakker (1.70m – Janne Friederike Meyer), in addition to numerous other notable international jumpers.
Sautelle herself is very pleasant to ride, with a soft mouth, natural balance, and a cooperative attitude. At shows she is straightforward, brave, and not spooky, and she possesses exactly the kind of blood and energy preferred in the modern sport. She thinks along with the rider, adjusts easily, and works with a lightness that makes her enjoyable for a wide range of riders.
